The Foundation Certificate

The ‘Foundation Certificate’ is new for our 2024/25 academic year at TSA. It is a stand-alone, one-year course of mainly, but not exclusively, New Testament material that will be taught by a variety of speakers in 40 sessions over 10 Saturday mornings, usually the first Saturday of the month, September through to June. The ‘Foundation Certificate’ will also serve as the first Year of the Four Year Diploma Course for new students enrolling this September wishing to do the Diploma.

 The syllabus includes:
• An overview of important New Testament books.
• An introduction to essential New Testament teachings.
• Thumbnail biographies of important New Testament church leaders.
• A brief overview of the history of the New Testament era. Answering the question, ‘How did we get our English Bible?’

The certificate is awarded on the basis of:
• Attendance at the Saturday lessons.
• Passing a short written multiple choice test on the synoptic gospels. As well as the Bible, one book, entitled, ‘Christian Beliefs’ by Wayne Grudem will be required reading for the course.

The cost for the whole course is just £75.00 payable at the start of the course or over the time of the academic course if required.
